Volleyball
I’ve been playing volleyball for 12 years but I haven’t played since December because I hurt my knee during a game. This problem has forced me to stop, but I love this sport and it’s really hard for me to accept it. I hope I’ll be able to play as soon as possible!

My ambitions
When I began to play my dream was to become like Mila, a cartoon character. Now my ambition is to play in an important team. But after I finish the therapy for my knee, I’ll have to see if I can still play well.

Be part of a team
To be able to play you must have a strong personality.
You need to be strong because you can’t bring you down when your team is in a difficult moment. You have to encourage your teammates.
You must have passion because you need it to play with motivation.
You should have also perseverance because even if you’d like to do something else you must go to the training session.

Rules
There are 6 players in each side. The action begins with the serve. Server must serve from behind the end line, until after contact. Each player may not hit the ball twice in succession. There is a maximal of three hits per side. Every time a team win the serve the players must rotate in a clockwise manner.

Italian team
The Italian women’s team is the best in the world. They won the world cup last year against the United States. They’re coming to Palermo in July to play against Albania. If I can I’ll go to see them, probably with my mother. She also likes this sport. In Italy volleyball is a popular sport even if it is not so important as football. Especially women practise it and it’s taught at school.

My parents’ idea
In the future I’d like to become a professional player but my parents don’t agree. They think I should go to the university and get a good job. They will be happier if I do this. But even if I never become a player I’ll always love this sport and I might become a coach and do this in my spare time as a second job.
