Welcome to India!
India is a fascinating nation stretching from the Himalayas across the broad Gange's plain and vast peninsular plateau to the shores of the Indian Ocean there is an incredible variety of landscapes.
It enjoys a very mild climate, with summers very hot.
The Indian subcontinent is a land of many contrasts, geographically as well as culturally.
For centuries India has been a melting pot of different races and religions who have all left their stamp on this land.
This nation is well-know for its history and cultural tresaures, and tourists con see its trasaures like many important cities, such as:
Delhi, situated in northern India, comprises the cities of Old Delhi, and New Delhi. Old Delhi, is rich in history of Mogul emperors and spectacular in its array of monuments:
There you can see the Jami Masjid: the great mosque of country dating back to XVII century and the Red Fort, was the ancient imperial's palace.
New Delhi, capital city of India, is a modern garden city built by the British in the 1930. it offers broad tree-lined avenues, beautiful gardens and it's a shopper's paradise for silk, sandalwood, silver and parfume.
Another fascinating city is Agra, situated in northern India, was founded in the early 16th century and was the Mogul's capital during some periods of their empire. It is the setting world wide famous of the Taj Mahal, built by the Mogul emperor in 1630 for his Queen to enshrine her remains.
Mumbai, was called Bombay, is a cosmopolitan city with its various mixture of races and traditions. It is Indian's financial, industrial and the principal harbour of the west coast on the Arabian Sea.
Tourists con admire the famous "Gateway of India".
Another place worth visiting is Varanasi, one of the most important religious centre, who receives thousands of pilgrims.
India is famous for its gastronomy, usually based on the meats, but is developed the vegetarian's cuisine, the most ancient Indian's speciality is the "Dhal", one the lentil's soup.
The hotel organization of India, meets the needs of all types of tourists.
the country is ideally situated for road, rail and air connection: the most important airport is Delhi.
