3) Read what happened next in the murder case.

A) Change the sentences into the passive, keeping the same tense. Omit the agent where it is not important.

1) The police arrested a suspect yesterday.
A suspect was arrested yesterday.

2) Someone murdered the victim at 6 o’ clock.
The victim was murdered at 6 o’ clock.

3) A neighbour had seen the suspect near the house at 5.30.
The suspect had been seen near the house at 5.30 by a neighbour.

4) The police searched the suspect’s house.
The suspect’s house was searched.

5) They found some bloodstains.
Some bloodstains was found.

6) The forensic scientists have examined the bloodstains.
The bloodstains have been examined by the forensic scientists.

7)Two detectives are questioning the suspect.
The suspect is being questioned by two detectives.

8) They will probably charge him with murder.
He probably will be charged with murder.

9) They will take him to court tomorrow.
He will be taken to court tomorrow.
