Values
Are you the kind of person that likes to help other people? Does the salary that you earn motivate you? The German psychologist, Eduard Spranger, suggested that there are six main types of people, aesthetic, social, religious, economic, political, and theoretical.
These types are based on the values that motivate people.
Conrad, for example, is the kind of person who thinks everything should be useful. His high-powered job as the sales director of a large international company is very important to him, and he thinks he deserves the high salary which he earns. He collects works of art, but he only buys things that have a commercial value.
Conrad sees himself as someone who knows what he wants. The clothes that he wears are stylish and the car that he drives is fast and expensive.
