IL FUTURO
-PRESENT SIMPLE
Si usa il PRESENT SIMPLE quando ci si riferisce ad orari, calendari, scadenze fisse.
The train leaves at 5.35.
-PRESENT CONTINUOUS
Si usa il PRESENT CONTINUOUS per parlare di cose stabilite o convenute per il futuro, di solito con un complemento.
Are you working tomorrow?
What are you doing this evening? We’re staying at home.
-TO BE GOING TO
La forma to be going to + verbo si usa per esprimere:
- intenzioni e progetti
Who are you going to invite? I’m not going to tell you.
- qualcosa di molto probabile o imminente
Hurry up! We’re going to miss the plane!
Catch it! It’s going to fall!
-WILL
La forma del futuro con will si usa per esprimere:
- previsioni
Milan will win the Cup Final.
- promesse o minacce
I promise I’ll give up smoking.
- decisioni del momento
I’ll phone you later.
I’ll have a coke, please.
