History
The tribes from Germany Angles, Saxon and Jutes invaded the Britain in the first part of the 5th century. They killing and driving out the British in habitants to Wales and cornwall.
Their settlements had developed into a Heptarchy (group of 7 kingdoms) made up of Kent, Sussex, Essex, Wessex, East Anglia, Mercia and Northumbria. Each king was elected by a Witan (council of Wisemen). From about 513 AD to 537 AD a Celtic leader named Arthur fought bravely against the Anglo-Saxon invaders and became the figure of legend King Arthur. In 597 AD Augustine a missionary sent from Rome arrived in Kent and established a Christian church at Canterbury, where he became the first Archbishop of Canterbury.

PURSELID Comes from the treasure inside the ship in Suffolk. At the bottom there is an image of an eagle seizing a duck, and at the sides a man being attacked by two wild boars, both are shown in gold, enamel and glass like stones
